Obituary: Janet Wonsey Dead at 72
Montague Center: Mrs Janet Andrews (Day) Wonsey, 72, of Federal Street, died Thursday at the Franklin Nursing Home.
She was born March 7, 1899 in Lynn, the daughter of Henry J. and Abbie C. (Homan) Day. She lived in Montague Center 70 years.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church, The Montague Grange No. 41, the Lake Pleasant Women's Club and the Ridge Runners Riding Club.
She leaves her widower, William H. Wonsey, two sons, Henry J.D. Wonsey of Lake Pleasant and Leonard R. Wonsey of Montague Center; four daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Graves of Lake Pleasant, Mrs. Carolyn Bailey of Westfield, Mrs Janet Crochier of Greenfield and Mrs. Patricia Stewart of Montague; a half sister, Helen Louise Pallasch of Deland, Fla.; 25 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Sunday at 2:00pm at the First Congregational Church, with Rev. Everett Robie officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Calling hours at the McCarthy Funeral Home, Turners Falls, will be Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
